1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of TechHorse's computer repair and technical support services. By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms in full.

2. Service Description

TechHorse provides on-site and remote computer repair services throughout the Coffs Coast region. Our services include but are not limited to computer repairs, virus removal, data recovery, hardware installation, and technical support.

3. Booking and Appointments

3.1 Scheduling

- Appointments are subject to availability

- Service times are approximate and may vary due to unforeseen circumstances

- We will make every effort to arrive within the scheduled time window

3.2 Cancellations

- A minimum of 3 hours notice is required for appointment cancellations

- Cancellations made less than 3 hours before the scheduled appointment will incur a $60 cancellation fee

- No-shows will be charged the full cancellation fee

- Repeated cancellations may result in future bookings requiring pre-payment

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Fees and Charges

- Service fees are charged at our current published rates

- Minimum charge periods apply (1 hour for on-site, 30 minutes for remote support)

- Additional time is charged in 30-minute increments

- Parts and hardware are charged separately

- Travel fees may apply for locations outside our standard service area

4.2 Payment Methods

- We accept credit cards, EFTPOS, and direct bank transfers

- Payment is required upon completion of service

- Business accounts may be available upon application

5. Warranty and Guarantees

5.1 Service Warranty

- Labor is warranted for 30 days from service date

- Hardware/parts warranties vary by manufacturer

- Warranty excludes:

 - Software/hardware problems unrelated to original repair

 - Damage caused by user

 - Virus/malware infections after service

 - Environmental damage

5.2 Service Guarantee

- If we cannot resolve your issue, you will not be charged for the attempt

- This guarantee does not apply to successful diagnostic services or partial repairs

6. Customer Responsibilities

6.1 Data Backup

- Customers are responsible for backing up their data before service

- While we take precautions, we are not responsible for data loss

- Data recovery services are available at additional cost

6.2 Software Licenses

- Customers must provide valid licenses for all software

- We cannot install unlicensed software

- Proof of purchase may be required for certain services

7. Remote Support Services

7.1 Requirements

- Customer must download and install our approved remote access software

- Stable internet connection required

- Customer must be present during remote session

7.2 Security

- All remote sessions are secure and encrypted

- Access is terminated upon session completion

- We do not store remote access credentials

8. Privacy and Confidentiality

- We respect your privacy and maintain strict confidentiality

- Customer information is not shared with third parties

- We comply with Australian Privacy Principles

9. Liability Limitations

- Our liability is limited to the cost of services provided

- We are not responsible for:

 - Consequential losses

 - Business interruption

 - Lost profits

 - Hardware failures unrelated to our service

10. Service Refusal

We reserve the right to:

- Refuse service at our discretion

- Terminate service if conditions are unsafe

- Decline work on severely damaged equipment

- End service if customer behavior is inappropriate

11. Changes to Terms

- We may update these terms at any time

- Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance

- Current terms are always available on our website

These terms are governed by New South Wales law.
